It's been a while...

...since i last blogged. What to do, didn't get the 'feel' to blog...or maybe i was just busy (honestly!!).
Let's see, what have i done since i last blogged....hmmm....

1. Had another overnighter at work. Realised my limit of not sleeping is only about 30 hours, then after that i totally konk out.
2. Went to Genting with my ex-colleagues. Was fun! Not the place but the ppl.
3. Watched Pink Panther. Stupid-funny.
4. Got food poisoning. Again! The last time i had it was in November. Hmm...i don't know why, but nowadays i seem to fall sick often. Last time i fell sick once a year. Serious!
5. Participated in my company's solutions fair. Learned a lot about my company's products. And of course got to know a lot more people. They had games and stuff, so i won lots of sweets and notebooks.
6. Attended my uncle's funeral. Damn sad.
7. Watched Final Destination. Too predictable.
8 Watched Brokeback Mountain. I can hardly hear what Heath Ledger was saying. He was acting damn macho, but he's just a softie inside. Many gay moments.
9. Got swamped with work.
10. Still swamped.
11. Swamped till next month.

So that's about it. I'm looking forward to some new movies coming up soon. 'V' for Vendetta, Da Vinci Code, Pirates of the Caribbean II. Oh, i wanna see how the new James Bond fairs in the new movie, see if he fits into this role. Heard a lot of criticism about the actor already.

Hmm, thinking to get my eyes checked. I know my eyesight has worsen, need to get new specs or maybe contacts. Have been putting off that trip to the optician's. Oh, thinking of perming my hair. But got to maintain it this time.

Dang...there are so many new things i want. Handphone, car, apartment, laptop....got to start saving. I will sacrifice my lunch money (cut down on expensive food, not skipping lunch) but not my shopping!!

Alrighty, next up, my nephew's b'day. Will be going back to celebrate his and my dad's b'day this weekend. Will try to teach the babe how to say my name. Ciaos.

15 days of CNY

Don't worry, am not going to go through all the 15 days. I'll summarise.

So, CNY has come and gone. It was a quiet new years this time around. Well, it did start of quiet, but got rather busy when Joshua (read: baby) was back. Ang pow collection wasn't that good either. When people know you've already started working, then that's it. No more ang pow. Did some visiting, loads of eating, and of course some gambling. Didn't throw any oranges yesterday though. To me oranges are meant for eating. Period.

Watched 'The Producers' when i was back home. Quite nice and funny. But the vcd quality wasn't that good. Went to the cinema to watch 'Fearless'. Great fighting scenes. The whole village thing could have been omitted if they weren't following the real story. It was like fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, dance & skip around on paddy fields, fight, fight, fight. And after a long wait, i finally watched Memoirs of A Geisha. I did try to get the cinema tickets for the last time, but oh well, it wasn't meant to be. The movie was a bit.....unnatural. Cause it was all in English. Next movie i'm looking forward to is 'Da Vinci Code'. I hope it won't be disappointing. Else it will seem that all movies adapted from books have been a failure.

Since CNY's over, there's another occasion to splurge on: Valentines! Happy Valentines, people!

Surviving CNY shopping!

Tip number 1: Don't give up! You will get there (through the massive jam) and you will find a parking space..........eventually.
Tip number 2: If you take public transport, suck your stomach in and squeeze into the bus/train.
Tip number 3: Don't get suckered into buying everything that has a 70% or 50% discount tag over it. The price has usually been marked-up.

I went to my company's kick-off dinner last saturday. The theme was retro.....so yeah, you could see loads of people in all kinds of outfits. Quite a number of them rented their costumes. I reckon some were wearing their old clothes. Heh. Most of the managers and directors were sporting enough to dress up as well, and also performed during the dinner! Some employees did a great dance performance which included a medley of songs. Really got everyone into the 'retro' mood. The rookies also performed a few songs. I wasn't included as i'm toooooo new. So i'll be performing at the next kick-off dinner in the middle of the year. I didn't stay long enough to see who was crown retro king and queen though.

On sunday, i went to do my CNY shopping in Midvalley. I went there fairly early, but by noon the crowd grew bigger and bigger! Tried on lots of clothes but bought little. Went back by KTM/LRT and was sardined. I don't want to talk about it....and i sure don't want to relive it! Crazy CNY shoppers! For my case, i can't help it. Wasn't free to go before this. :p

Went to 1Utama just now, and surprisingly, it wasn't that jam and it was easy to find a parking space! Bought a few more items and came home satisfied.

Been having the flu the whole day. Will go sleep now. Nites! Happy CNY!

New year, new changes?

CNY is coming! Woohoo! But i haven't bought any new year clothes yet. Drats! How many more shopping days to go?? Shopping, anyone?

Let's see, what changes there weresince i last updated, hmmm.....I went to Kelantan again and when i got back, i resigned! Yup, got the job i wanted at last. :D But will miss my old colleagues though. They are a nice bunch to hang out with. I'm at work now actually. Quite free today, but i'm told i will be swamped with work starting next month. I don't want to think about it yet. Went around every floor to be introduced to....everyone. I'll have to work together with them, so i got to know who i'm working with. Will be attending the company kick-off dinner this saturday. Now i need to find something to wear. Aiks!

Went for a medical check-up, required by my company. All seems well. And went to get my photo taken. I look quite tan in the photo. Hmmm...

I've yet to finish 'Memoirs of a Geisha'. Don't get me wrong, i enjoy reading it so much that i don't want to finish it, so i guess i'm just trying to stall time. But i'll finish it before i see the movie. Talking about movies, i haven't watched 'King Kong' yet! Got some mixed reviews about that big ape. Some said were nice, others said it wasn't. What say you?

2 more weeks to CNY. I'm hoping to meet old friends and do some catching up. And of course ang pow collection which i missed last year. And food!! Yum!

Ok, i guess my blog has gotten quite boring, even to myself. I'm like reporting what i did......which is not interesting at all. Hopefully i'll get to blog about something else soon. Ideas anyone?

Happy New Year!!

So how you guys spent your new years? For me, the evening started off with a massive jam near Ikano/The Curve. After about an hour stuck in traffic, me and my friend reached The Curve and headed to Sakae Sushi (the one where you can order food from the monitors). We managed to get a table quite fast, though after a while the line started to get longer. Been craving for sushi/jap food this pass few weeks although i haven't been the biggest fan since......forever. From outside, you would think the food there would be expensive, but turns out, it's not that expensive. And it's nice to boot!

After dinner, we headed to Ikea for a spot of shopping. We contemplated to stay for the Ikano New Year celebrations, but then decided not to. Went home, watched a movie, then went to sleep. Man, i'm getting old...

As for New Years resolutions.....hmmm...i haven't like really sat down and write it all down. But i have some i want to achieve. Like, get that new job. Keeping my fingers crossed! Going to Kelantan again though, this time for 3 days. Em.....yay?

I got the 'Memoirs of a Geisha' book for Christmas from me bro. Been wanting to get it for ages but never got around to it. It's a good read, so i'm hoping the movie is as good too.

A bit creepy rite?

Oh well, that's all for now. Got to get ready for a dinner at Fridays. Suppose to be a farewell dinner for a colleague. Toodles~

I'll be home for Christmas...

Back from Kelantan at last after 9 (tiring) days working there. Flew back from Kota Bahru on Tuesday night and reached back home around 12 plus. Had to work the next day too, so you can imagine me, tired, lack of sleep, working in the office. I was yawning away every few minutes. The only time i didn't feel sleepy was during lunch! Ha, what to do...the remaining time i'd be facing the computer only. Took leave for today, cause i had some 'matters' to settle. Ahem. *Grin*

KB was....erm...like any other small town. Was raining everyday there except on the day i was flying back. I didn't get to visit any of the places there (unless you consider KB Mall as an attraction). Spent most of my time working at the places i'm suppose to work at and the hotel (where i continued working till very late). Yeah, so...there isn't much that i can talk about KB. Oh, food there is quite cheap, that's all i can say. But a word of advice, choose your hotel properly.

I'll be going back home on Saturday for Christmas. I've already missed out a few Christmases at home already. Did anyone put the tree up yet? I'm hoping to get an early Chirstmas present. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope to get the call soon!!

King Kong anyone?
